Interpretation: Journal of Tafsir and Hadith Studies focuses on scholarly research related to the study of the Qur’an, tafsir, and hadith, emphasizing interpretative, textual, and contextual approaches. The journal aims to advance critical and methodologically sound studies that contribute to the development of Islamic scholarship. The journal welcomes original research articles within, but not limited to, the following areas: Focus ● Qur’anic studies and exegesis (tafsir) ● Hadith studies and sciences of hadith ● Interpretive methodologies in Qur’anic and hadith studies ● Classical and contemporary approaches to Islamic interpretation ● Textual and contextual analysis of Islamic sources Scope ● Methodologies of Qur’anic interpretation (classical and modern) ● Hermeneutics of Islamic texts ● Sanad and matn criticism in hadith studies ● Thematic (mawḍū‘ī) and analytical tafsir ● Historical development of tafsir and hadith traditions ● Interaction between revelatory texts and social, cultural, and historical contexts ● Interdisciplinary approaches to tafsir and hadith studies (history, linguistics, anthropology, sociology, and related fields) ● Contemporary issues in the interpretation of the Qur’an and hadith Manuscripts submitted to Interpretation: Journal of Tafsir and Hadith Studies must demonstrate originality, academic rigor, and relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, and must adhere to established standards of scholarly research and publication ethics. |
