Plagiarism Policy
The Interpretation: Journal of Tafsir and Hadith Studies is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical conduct in all aspects of its publication process. As such, the journal has a zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism, which is defined as the unauthorized use or reproduction of another author's work, whether in whole or in part, without proper citation or credit.
In accordance with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the journal adheres to a strict policy of detecting and preventing plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are subject to a rigorous plagiarism detection process, using specialized software to identify any instances of unauthorized borrowing or duplication of text, ideas, or data.
The journal's plagiarism policy is as follows:
- Definition of Plagiarism: Plagiarism is considered to have occurred when a manuscript contains passages, phrases, or ideas that are identical to or substantially similar to those found in another publication, without proper citation or credit.
- Consequences of Plagiarism: Any instances of plagiarism detected in a submitted manuscript will result in immediate rejection of the manuscript, and may also lead to further action, including notification of the author's institution and/or funding agency.
- Plagiarism Detection Software: The journal uses specialized software to detect plagiarism, including but not limited to, Turnitin, iThenticate, or other similar tools.
- Author Responsibilities: Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original and do not contain any instances of plagiarism. Authors must properly cite all sources used in their research and provide a list of references in the required format.
- Licenses and Copyright: The journal operates under a CC-BY license, which allows for the free distribution and reuse of published articles, provided that the original author and source are properly credited.
