Publication Ethics
The Interpretation: Journal of Tafsir and Hadith Studies is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against any publication malpractices. The Journal adheres to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and follows its guidelines in dealing with cases of research and publication misconduct.
The Journal is dedicated to ensuring the integrity, transparency, and quality of its publications. To achieve this, the Journal employs a double-blind peer review process, where both the reviewers' and authors' identities are concealed from each other to promote unbiased and objective evaluations.
Author Responsibilities
- Authors must ensure that their submissions are original and have not been previously published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
- Authors must properly cite and acknowledge the work of others, and ensure that all sources used in their research are accurately referenced.
- Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may have influenced their research or interpretation of results.
Reviewer Responsibilities
- Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript and not share it with anyone or use it for their own purposes.
- Reviewers must provide objective, unbiased, and constructive feedback to help authors improve their work.
- Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may have influenced their evaluation of the manuscript.
Editorial Responsibilities
- The Editorial Team is responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of the publication process.
- The Editorial Team must maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript and not disclose it to anyone except the reviewers and authors.
- The Editorial Team must handle cases of suspected publication misconduct in accordance with COPE guidelines and take necessary actions to address any issues that may arise.
Licensing and Copyright
The Journal operates under a CC-BY license, which allows authors to retain the copyright to their work while granting others the right to share, adapt, and build upon their research with proper attribution.
By submitting their work to the Journal, authors agree to abide by these ethics guidelines and acknowledge that they have read and understood the Journal's policies and procedures.
